3. No audit log

For SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance, you need a per-user log of every prompt — who asked what, when, with which model, and how many tokens were consumed. Open WebUI does not provide this. An enterprise rollout without an audit trail will fail its first security review.

4. No commercial support or SLA

Open WebUI is a community OSS project. There is no vendor to call when something breaks in production. No SLA. No security patch timeline. For consumer-grade tooling this is acceptable. For an enterprise platform running on sensitive infrastructure, it is a liability that procurement and legal teams will flag immediately.

5. No over-the-air updates

Updating Open WebUI means pulling a new Docker image and restarting the stack manually. For security patches — where speed matters — this adds operational overhead that compounds over time.
